Campaigners demand probe as torture thugs walk free - 19 Jan 2012
Hate crime campaigners have demanded a government probe after three friends who tortured a man with learning difficulties walked free from court. Sean Ruddeforth was subjected to a horrific four-hour ordeal in which he was tied to a lamppost and humiliated. The 31-year-old was covered with food, nail varnish and paint. His attackers escaped jail after a court heard two of them were young mums.
